But in nature, everything has a cost, and Sam and Dean have a bad history of not examining the price tag.

Dude. This is an AMAZING piece of writing. I found myself laughing, aching, marveling, and sitting on the edge of my seat through all 170K+ of it. I had to ration my reading so that I could get anything done because all I wanted to do was read non-stop. Truly a gorgeous fic.
And now of course, I want to know which god it was that the ritual was done to (like Dean, I have no idea), I want to know what is happening with Bobby, and I want Sam hale and healthy again, so that Dean can whisk him away on a vacation, just the two of them, where there is a lot of nakedness. ;) But seeing as it took so long for this one to be finished (and well worth the time, don't get me wrong), I am faced with the mixed blessing that by the time you finish Part 2, I will have completely forgotten Part 1, and will need to read it all over again!
Meanwhile, thank you so much for sharing this ride. It was amazing.
