minviendha
Characters (overall): Dean, Castiel, Sam, plus a number of angels and demons
Rating (overall): NC-17

Words (this chapter): 7,568
Summary: A man wakes up in a ruined wasteland, without memories, without a name, without knowing the strange guy who claims he used to be an angel, or that he once had a little brother. All he knows is that the world is dying, everyone is lying to him and that somehow, somewhere, something went terribly wrong. Because someone said Yes when they should have said No, and someone else paid the price.

Date: 2011-07-04 05:57 pm (UTC)Castiel telling the story of how he had to leave Sam behind was heartbreaking. And Dean getting pissed about it was kind of sweet, but at the same time, there was no other choice. Cas did the only thing he could possibly have done, and then he got Sam back out. Cas saved Sam in all the ways he could, no matter what happened. I definitely like Cas more than Dean in this story.
Anyways this is still epic and awesome and I can't wait for more! =D

Date: 2011-07-04 08:39 pm (UTC)It gets worse in the next chapter.
There are so many little stories I want to tell about Cas and Sam and their time without Dean. Maybe, when the fic is finished, I'll do some time stamps.
But I also think some stories are better left untold.
Don't give up on Sam just yet! This story is actually going somewhere.
And thank you once again for your comment! It was a very nice birthday present!

Date: 2011-07-05 06:25 am (UTC)Yes! I want to hear everything that ever happened to them in that time! Because secretly their friendship is my favorite thing about S5, so awkward and so ridiculous and yet so cute. Although I suppose I kind of agree with you about the untoldness.
I will never give up on Sam. Ever. I'm kind of a fairly hardcore Sam!girl that way ^_^
Whoa, really? HAPPY BIRTHDAYYYYYYYYYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!1 =D

Date: 2011-07-05 09:29 pm (UTC)Time stamps will definitely come - once I got through the main body of the fic. Phew. (I'm nearing the 100,000 words line, and no end in sight.)
I love Sam and Cas's S5 relationship as well. Wish they had done something with that.
Season 5 Dean is pretty much beyond redemption to me. The other day I was watching another show in which a character was in a situation similar to Sam's in that season: He had good intentions and became estranged to his friends (including his girlfriend) over his convinction that he was doing good and their conviction that he was wrong. When it turned out that he had trusted the wrong people and the others' were right after all, and it was his girlfriend's turn to show a reaction to his apology, all I could think was "Please don't be Dean! Please don't be Dean!"
